Okay, here's the thing: I think the blurb is interesting, that's what drew me in.
Sad to say though, when I reached the 35% mark, I kinda lost interest and put it down. Honestly, I don't see what's so special with Farren or his relationship with Essa. I just felt disconnected with the book. When I pick it up again, I was determined to finish the story no matter how boring/worse it gets. You see, I don't want any unfinished business. The story picked up again and I was silently screaming for them to hurry up, do something; I can't understand how they could act like a couple in a honeymoon when someone they love is in danger. I also think that the author downplayed Essa's reaction after the dawson scene or haven's trauma.
It's weird though that some scenes made me more uncomfortable than the characters...
I was thinking if I'm going to give it a 3 or 4 when I remembered the epilogue. Argh. i don't think I'll read the next book.
